Description: I. 'COATBRIDGE CARNIVAL: Wounded Scotch (sic) soldiers being well looked after by Scotch (sic) lassies at the carnival in aid of limbless soldiers and sailors'. Scottish band playing. Food and drink are served to soldiers by cheery nurses. Close-up of grinning young soldier with bad teeth eating a sandwich which somebody sticks a feather into the top of.II. 'MUNITION WORKERS' WELFARE: A special department of the Ministry of Munitions look after the health of the workers. Mrs Kent inspects the girl guides (munition workers) who drill during their lunch hour'. Mrs Kent watches the Girl Guides going through their paces: several of them run to a girl lying on the ground, whom they lift up and place on a stretcher. The inspection over, one of the Guides dons an overall on top of her uniform and returns to work.III. 'WOUNDED SOLDIERS VISIT WINDSOR CASTLE: At the invitation of the King, wounded soldiers from Queen Mary's Hospital drive to Windsor Castle and are entertained at the riding school'. Various shots of the disabled soldiers arriving at the school in cars, helped out by attendants. A limbless man in a wheelchair is pushed past, followed by one legged men on crutches. One wheelchairbound veteran poses for the camera.IV. 'AIR CRAFT AT WORK: Taking up positions on the approach of hostile aircraft'. Troops climb down from a portée, and prepare the gun mounted on the back of it; stabilisers are pulled out and blocks are pushed underneath.V. 'IN ACTION: Gun firing at German Taube in the Salonika area. Serbian officers observing the effect through the distant gauges'. Troops load and fire the lorry-mounted AA gun, now fully prepared. After firing, the gun is reset to a new firing position. Serbian (?) officer watches through a gauge as the gun is fired; others present look through binoculars.
